About the position
The Vice President of Third-Party Governance at BNY Mellon is responsible for overseeing the company's ongoing monitoring activities related to third-party providers. This role involves managing remediation efforts, reporting progress to stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The position requires strong communication skills to create presentations for various audiences and to foster relationships across teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive execution of the company's day-to-day third-party provider ongoing monitoring activities.
- Manage the remediation of ongoing monitoring findings/observations, ensuring timely and accurate closure of findings.
- Report and escalate ongoing monitoring progress and issues to internal stakeholders and management.
- Identify and communicate improvement opportunities with a focus on greater efficiency and efficacy.
- Lead the creation of presentations for business stakeholders, regulators, and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 7+ years of professional experience, preferably in third-party risk management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to forge relationships across teams and levels of management.
