About the position

The Vice President of Third-Party Governance at BNY is responsible for overseeing the company's ongoing monitoring activities related to third-party providers. This hybrid role emphasizes effective communication, relationship building, and the management of monitoring findings to ensure compliance and efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of the company's day-to-day third-party provider ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Manage the remediation of ongoing monitoring findings/observations, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate closure of findings.
  • Report and escalate ongoing monitoring progress and issues to internal stakeholders and management.
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities with the team and management with a focus on greater efficiency and efficacy.
  • Lead the creation of presentations for business stakeholders, regulators, and senior management, effectively communicating complex concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 7+ years of professional experience, preferably in third-party risk management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to forge relationships across teams and levels of management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services is a plus.
