About the position

The Vice President of US Sales at X4 Pharmaceuticals will play a critical role in leading the sales organization as the company prepares for the launch of its first drug, XOLREMDI™ (mavorixafor). This position is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, ensuring launch readiness, and driving disease awareness and product promotion. The VP will work closely with various functional groups to align the commercialization strategy and will be accountable for achieving annual revenue objectives while fostering a collaborative and innovative sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, coach, develop, and motivate the sales team.
  • Lead the development and execution of the sales strategy, including sales force sizing and deployment.
  • Establish commercial and corporate goals, advocating for the required budget and resources.
  • Set and achieve annual US revenue objectives.
  • Contribute to brand marketing, sales messaging, and targeting strategies.
  • Drive innovation in strategy and tactics to build disease and brand awareness.
  • Monitor and manage brand sales budgets and forecasts, evaluating cost effectiveness and ROI of activities.
  • Collaborate with key thought leaders and advocacy groups to validate commercial approaches and secure launch readiness.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully launching therapeutic products in the rare disease space, preferably in immunology and/or hematology.
  • Strong sales and operations background with recent launch experience within a start-up company.
  • Experience leading integrated commercial organizations and developing top-tier talent.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in the US market of biopharma commercialization.
  • Superior leadership, strategic, and analytical capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Global/international experience is desirable.
  • A well-established commercial network is strongly preferred.
