About the position

The Video Editor Contractor (Part Time) is responsible for producing innovative and culturally relevant video content that highlights the significance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This role involves collaborating with the production team to create compelling video narratives and ensuring high-quality editing using industry-standard software.

Responsibilities

• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation.
• Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video for approval.
• Acquire scripts, graphics, and coordinate with production staff.
• Produce and edit short- and long-form video packages using Adobe Premiere.
• Gather and transfer media into editing software, ensuring proper formatting and labeling.
• Edit video to include music, interviews, and sound clips, improving video and sound quality.
• Work with the video production team to capture and execute various projects.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Good editorial judgment and knowledge of religious services and current events.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with video production formats for mobile and social media.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
• Experience with Cinematic & Broadcast cameras and Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in film and/or media production or a related field.
