About the position

The Video Editor at Homes.com, a subsidiary of CoStar Group, is responsible for creating engaging visual content that supports buyers, sellers, and real estate agents throughout the home-search process. This role involves editing various types of video content, collaborating with a creative team, and adapting to feedback to produce high-quality marketing materials. The position is integral to the company's mission of enhancing the real estate experience through innovative storytelling and visual communication.

Responsibilities

• Edit marketing, documentary-style, multi-camera, greenscreen, and location videos.
• Create animations and motion graphics using After Effects and other software.
• Attend team meetings to discuss project progress and goals.
• Edit high-quality short-form and long-form video projects.
• Collaborate with writers, producers, photographers, and videographers to achieve department objectives.
• Process and log footage, interviews, and stock content.
• Edit multiple interviews into cohesive marketing pieces with b-roll storytelling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• 5+ years of editing experience.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing software, primarily Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and familiarity with Davinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro.
• Experience with various video codecs and formats including h.264, MOV, B-raw, R3D REDCODE Raw, Canon Raw, and ProRes.
• Knowledge of color correction and grading using waveform, histograms, and vectorscope data.
• Ability to clean and master audio files, including equalization and compression.
• Experience with transcoding footage and proxy generation.
