About the position

The Florida House of Representatives Office of Public Information is seeking a full-time Video Editor who is creative, efficient, and experienced in producing high-quality video content under tight deadlines. The role involves editing videos that highlight legislative events and policy initiatives, collaborating with a communications team, and managing digital media files.

Responsibilities

• Editing high-quality videos that feature legislative events and policy initiatives within the Florida House of Representatives.
• Using Adobe Creative Cloud applications to edit videos and export final video products for social media.
• Collaborating with a communications team to bring the vision for a video to completion.
• Ingesting and maintaining digital media files on an organized, shared network.
• Using project management software to track deadlines, feedback, and approvals.
• Assisting in video shoots in a studio and around the Capitol as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communications or a related field AND three years of professional experience in video editing.
• Completion of a program of study in videography or communications from a vocational/technical school, commercial art school or community college AND three years of professional experience in video editing.
• A high school diploma or equivalency and five years of professional experience in video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
