About the position

WestStar Multimedia Entertainment is seeking a Video Editor/Producer to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time position that offers a tremendous opportunity to work in a fast-growing, high-energy national broadcast multimedia company. Our company is home to The Kim Komando Show, a nationally syndicated radio program that reaches over 6.5 million listeners weekly. The successful candidate will work from our state-of-the-art 24,000-square-foot broadcast center in central Phoenix, where they will be responsible for recording and editing podcasts, interviews, and radio programs using Adobe Premiere. The role requires a high level of knowledge and efficiency in video editing, as well as experience in creating and posting video content to various social media platforms. Time management is critical, as many of our products are on tight deadlines for broadcast. The Video Editor/Producer will edit video for use on YouTube, social media, and Komando.com, transforming audio and video into engaging, bite-sized pieces suitable for social media. Additionally, the candidate will manage and grow our social media presence across platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X, engaging with the community to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to our website and newsletter landing pages.

Responsibilities

  • Record and edit podcasts, interviews, and radio programs using Adobe Premiere.
  • Edit video for use on YouTube, social media, and Komando.com.
  • Edit audio and video into bite-sized, social-media-friendly pieces.
  • Deliver quick-turn, high-priority projects while executing consistently high-quality production value.
  • Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Engage with the community and leverage social media to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to our website and newsletter landing pages.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in video editing and production.
  • Proficient in editing with Adobe Premiere.
  • Creative track record demonstrated through an audition reel or prior producing and production projects.
  • Proven time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Audition/Premiere, and camera operations.
  • Desire to find creative solutions to challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative development competency.
  • Ability to achieve metric goals and meet deadlines while working under pressure in a news/entertainment environment with tight deadlines.
