About the position

The Video Editor position at GhoulzTube, LLC is a project-based role focused on editing engaging long-form and short-form videos for a dynamic content creator specializing in Fortnite. The editor will collaborate closely with the content creator and creative manager to ensure that each video aligns with the brand's voice and vision, handling the editing process from raw footage to final cut while incorporating graphics, sound, and effects.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble raw footage into engaging long-form and short-form videos suitable for YouTube.
• Provide creative input on video structure, pacing, and visual elements to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
• Integrate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video content.
• Manage audio elements, including syncing audio, adjusting levels, and adding background music or sound effects.
• Work closely with the content creator and Creative Manager to understand video goals and incorporate feedback.
• Organize and maintain video files and assets for efficient workflow.
• Keep up-to-date with video editing trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing long-form and short-form content.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong creative vision with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling videos.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure consistent quality and adherence to brand standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to adapt to feedback and make revisions as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with YouTube platform best practices, including SEO, audience engagement, and monetization strategies.
• Understanding of Average View Duration (AVD) and how to edit videos to drive it up.

• Project-based compensation with pay ranging from $550-$700 for long-form videos and $50-$250 for short-form videos.
