About the position

The Video Editor is responsible for editing commercials, TV show segments, and special projects, collaborating with producers and the creative team to effectively communicate project objectives. This role requires proficiency in high-volume production environments and a strong focus on storytelling through video editing.

Responsibilities

• Edit commercials, TV show segments, special projects, and AV material for various platforms.
• Handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines simultaneously.
• Collaborate with the creative video team to understand and communicate project objectives.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Avid editing software and various media equipment.
• Ensure projects are legally compliant as per network and broadcast rules.
• Utilize software for finishing and publishing projects for social media and electronic delivery.
• Create graphics and motion graphics using Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
• Perform audio editing, mixing, and sweetening using Adobe Creative Suite.

Requirements

• College degree in a related field or equivalent experience in the video production industry.
• Experience with Avid editing software and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of video editing aesthetics and storytelling techniques.
• Ability to work flexibly based on production schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in high-volume production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to create graphics and motion graphics.
