This person must have strong organizational skills. They should know and understand various cameras, formats and media files, as well as how to creatively solve for challenges in post-production. They must be efficient at managing time across multiple projects, comfortable working under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines. There will be the opportunity to edit and take ownership of various edits including but not limited to social content, string outs, rough cuts, product videos, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Edit footage into rich narratives built off creative concepts captured.
  • Load, proxy and breakdown footage quickly and independently.
  • Backup new and existing footage and projects.
  • Lead new initiatives and projects with limited supervision.
  • Organize footage received from other videographers, and other outside sources.
  • Clearly communicate with Editors, Producers and Coordinators.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Improve and color correct footage.
  • Export and post edits for review and final delivery.
  • Version out final assets, multiple aspect ratios, closed captioning etc.
  • Work well with existing content team.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to address notes and make edit changes when needed.
  • Experience with all forms of video content (long form, short form video content, 30 second commercials, social vids).
  • High degree of attention to detail, specifically when handling multiple video projects.
  • Positive and solution-based attitude.
  • Expert-level with video editing software including Adobe Creative Suite video products (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Experience with motion applications (After Effects & Audition) and standard design applications is a plus.
  • Comfort with autonomy and nimble team structure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with original brand content and/or vertical video.
  • Experience in the western industry.
