About the position

The Video Editor position at Aquent involves working with a tech giant client in Culver City, CA. The role is focused on post-production and finishing workflows for feature and episodic content, requiring a strong understanding of audio and video quality control processes. The position is fully onsite and operates during the afternoon to evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Edit video content for feature and episodic productions.
• Create, analyze, and troubleshoot master-level QC reports for audio and video assets.
• Ensure compliance with various audio/video containers, codecs, and file formats, including HDR and Dolby Atmos.
• Utilize various mastering and NLE software programs effectively.
• Solve technical problems independently during the editing process.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of feature and episodic post-production workflows.
• Familiarity with creating and troubleshooting master-level QC reports.
• Practical understanding of audio/video containers, codecs, and file formats, including HDR and Dolby Atmos.
• Proficient in using Mastering and NLE software programs such as ColorFront Transkoder, ProTools, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to work independently as a technical problem solver.
