About the position

The Golden State Warriors are seeking a Video Editor to create engaging content and develop narratives for their social media and other distribution channels. This role involves working on various projects, including brand content activations and sponsorships, while ensuring that the quality of the output meets the standards set by the Director of Production. The position is full-time and located onsite in San Francisco, CA, and reports to the Manager of Post-Production.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on content and production support for Warriors and Chase Center's media platforms
  • Maintain high quality standards expected from Warriors Studio
  • Collaborate on ideas with other Producers/Editors within Warriors Studio
  • Edit player video features, promotional spots, and other video content as directed
  • Identify, conceptualize, and complete feature content on tight deadlines
  • Brainstorm new concepts and content franchises for potential revenue streams
  • Collaborate, produce, and edit the all-access Warriors Ground documentary show
  • Perform color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics creation
  • Work with motion graphic designers for custom needs
  • Stay updated on new video techniques and trends related to social media
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in film production or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years in a professional production environment with editing and motion design experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects)
  • Ability to operate digital cinema cameras (Sony FS7, FS5, A7s, Canon C100, C300) is a plus
  • Knowledge of various lighting techniques and setups
  • Knowledge of digital content video styles, platforms, and motion graphics creation
  • Ability to independently handle production shoots
  • Passion for new technology tools and creative strategies
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
