Fourth Purpose Foundation is dedicated to transforming the prison experience through storytelling and content creation. We are on a mission to highlight the positive aspects of prison life and share inspiring stories that reflect hope and transformation. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in this mission by producing high-quality video content that showcases the positive narratives surrounding staff, inmates, and leadership within the prison system. Your work will contribute to changing the narrative around prisons, focusing on the good that is happening rather than the negative aspects typically portrayed in media. In this position, you will be responsible for editing various types of video content, including documentaries, promotional videos, and social media clips. You will collaborate closely with our creative and production teams to understand project requirements and ensure that the final product aligns with our mission and vision. Your expertise in video editing software will be essential as you assemble raw footage, audio, and graphics into a polished final product. Consistency in quality and style across all projects is paramount, and you will be expected to maintain high standards throughout the editing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong storytelling ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Given the sensitive nature of our content, candidates must be able to pass a background check to work in prison environments and adhere to strict security and privacy protocols. This role is primarily in-office, with a preference for a hybrid work environment, and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. You will report directly to the Creative/Film Director, contributing to a team that is passionate about making a difference through impactful storytelling.
