About the position

The position involves working closely with a team of designers, editors, producers, and clients to achieve project goals in multimedia production. The role requires a strong understanding of camera operation, particularly with RED cameras, and the ability to creatively contribute to scene preparation and execution. The candidate will be responsible for handling various technical aspects of filming, ensuring quality standards are met, and staying updated on industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other designers, editors, producers, and clients to comprehend the project goals and expectations
  • Collaborate with the director to plan all aspects of shots
  • Provide realistic, creative input and guidance to scene preparation
  • Utilize excellent theoretical knowledge of filming and capturing footage with RED cameras
  • Apply technical features of lenses, film, filters, light, and camera settings to each shot
  • Handle cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for field and studio productions
  • Ensure multimedia content adheres to quality standards and guidelines of the company and clients
  • Support multimedia production by setting up, maintaining, and fixing video equipment
  • Collaborate with make-up artists, lighting, and sound staff to create the best final effect
  • Solve technical or practical problems as they arise
  • Stay informed on modern technology and current industry trends
  • Edit footage as needed

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in camera operation or a related role
  • Skillful in using various software and tools for production, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, REDCINE-X Pro
  • Excellent theoretical knowledge of RED camera operation, lighting, and audio capturing techniques
  • Creative and artistic skills, with a good sense of aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team and with clients
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong technical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends if required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film is preferred
