About the position

The Video Editor at Bass Pro Shops is responsible for editing commercials, TV show segments, and special projects. This role requires collaboration with producers and the creative team to effectively communicate project objectives through video editing. The position demands proficiency in high-volume production environments and a strong focus on storytelling through video.

Responsibilities

• Edit commercials, TV show segments, special projects, and AV material for various platforms including broadcast and Internet.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Collaborate with the creative video team to understand and communicate project objectives.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Avid editing software and various media equipment.
• Ensure projects comply with legal standards set by networks and broadcast rules.
• Utilize software for finishing and publishing projects for social media and electronic delivery.
• Create graphics and motion graphics using Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
• Perform audio editing, mixing, and sweetening using Adobe Creative Suite.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in the video production industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and After Effects.
• Solid understanding of video editing aesthetics and storytelling techniques.
• Experience in a high-volume production environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Avid editing software.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
