About the position

The Associate Producer (Digital)/Video Editor at KMPH/KFRE is responsible for writing local stories for digital platforms and linear television, along with video editing and operating studio equipment. This role offers opportunities to learn technical directing and directing of newscasts, while also serving as a backup producer for morning shows as needed.

Responsibilities

• Write local stories for digital platforms and linear television.
• Edit video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period pieces.
• Take in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations.
• Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts.
• Meet daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment.

Requirements

• Some college education or a minimum of one year of relevant experience in the field.
• Knowledge of Avid Media Composer and Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment.
