About the position

The Video Editor will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of Front Office Sports Today and other audio and video programming. This position involves editing, production, and social media posting, collaborating with various creative team members to produce high-quality video content tailored for multiple platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce video content primarily focusing on the FOS roster of original content franchises and shows.
  • Sync and layer audio and video tracks to create a cohesive, professional-grade final product.
  • Enhance content with graphics, transitions, B-roll, and animations.
  • Collaborate closely with the show team to ensure content aligns with the brand's tone and creative vision.
  • Optimize content for different platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.) based on best practices and platform specifications.
  • Ensure timely delivery and high quality to meet production standards.
  • Stay current with current trends, especially in the sports, video editing, and podcasting industries.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to video production.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in audio and video editing, preferably in the sports or media industry.
  • Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
  • High attention to detail and focus on results.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of sports culture and content.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Understanding of SEO and social media video optimization.
  • Previous work with high-profile podcasts or media personalities.
  • Videography/shooting experience (familiarity with equipment, managing logistics, and collaborating with a team).
