About the position

The Video Editor position at Mohegan Sun is responsible for overseeing all video production for the Connecticut Sun WNBA Team during games and events. This role involves creating high-quality video content for various platforms, including the team's website and social media, while collaborating with team members to ensure polished video productions. The position requires a strong background in video editing, shooting live events, and proficiency in various editing software.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality video content for use on various platforms.
• Review audio and visual footage and organize clips into a cohesive unit using computer software.
• Participate in the creative development process for all digital and graphic content.
• Collaborate with team members and internal departments for professional video productions.
• Produce engaging content and graphics to promote the WNBA team with quick turnaround.
• Shoot, edit, and create original content for the website, in-arena displays, game broadcasts, and social media.
• Create and edit videos for special events, projects, and campaigns.
• Serve as the video lead on game days and other events requiring video capture.
• Assist in the production and creation of graphic elements for partnership initiatives and digital signage.
• Maintain all video production equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years' experience in video editing and shooting live games.
• Strong working knowledge of the WNBA and its teams.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and non-linear editing systems.
• Strong background in video production including writing, shooting, and editing with experience in motion graphics and graphic design.
• Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and audio set-up.
• Technical knowledge/skills within an edit bay/control room environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a fast-paced sports environment.
