About the position

We are seeking a Video Editor for our culinary client, responsible for producing visually engaging videos that support marketing initiatives. This ongoing temporary assignment is a hybrid role based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area, requiring collaboration with the marketing team to ensure videos align with brand objectives and captivate the audience through compelling visuals, audio, and motion graphics.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage to the desired length, format, and visual style.
• Enhance videos with motion graphics and animations to engage viewers.
• Apply color correction techniques for consistent and appealing visuals.
• Mix and master audio tracks to optimize sound quality.
• Encode final videos for multiple formats, archive project files, and maintain an organized library of footage, graphics, and audio.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute video concepts.
• Stay current with video editing trends and techniques to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Adapt to new projects as they arise, contributing fresh ideas and creative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in video editing and post-production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
• Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and resolutions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Passion for storytelling and crafting visually impactful videos.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., After Effects).
• Knowledge of color grading techniques.
• Familiarity with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D).
• Awareness of video marketing and social media trends.
