About the position

We are looking for a Freelance Video Editor to join our FOX News family. As a Freelance Video Editor, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides highly creative and technically sound content across multiple platforms for FOX News entities. This role will challenge you to think on your feet and offer solutions to diverse requests in a fast-paced news environment. You will be expected to edit raw video into dynamic news packages and create broadcast-quality pieces very quickly, especially in a 24-hour breaking news environment. In this position, you will work on a variety of programs, delivering distinctive and stylized work under demanding deadlines across all platforms. It is essential to display initiative and focus to remain as productive as possible, whether working collaboratively or independently. You will serve as the 'last line of defense' on all audio/video requirements, ensuring that no technical or editorial mistakes occur on air. This role requires a strong editorial news judgment, broadcast experience, and a passion for news. You will need to have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work seamlessly and quickly on non-linear editing platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects is crucial, along with knowledge of Boris and Red Giant plug-ins. The ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and overnights, is also necessary.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in non-linear editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Demonstrated editorial news judgment and broadcast experience.
• Sharp eye for detail and ability to work quickly on non-linear editing platforms.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
• Knowledge of Boris and Red Giant plug-ins.
• Creative, enthusiastic, solution-oriented, and a team player.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
