About the position

We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Game Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing engaging and innovative video game experiences, collaborating with artists, programmers, and other designers to bring concepts to life. This role requires a strong understanding of game mechanics, storytelling, and user interface design, along with proficiency in various programming languages and tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design game features and mechanics.
• Develop detailed design documents outlining gameplay systems, user interfaces (UI), and level designs.
• Utilize programming skills in languages such as JavaScript and Java to implement game features.
• Work with system architecture to ensure optimal performance across platforms.
• Create prototypes using tools like Redux and DevOps practices to streamline development processes.
• Test and iterate on game designs based on feedback from playtesting sessions.
• Maintain documentation of design processes and decisions for future reference.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into game design.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video game design or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UI principles and best practices for player experience.
• Familiarity with SOAP protocols for web services integration is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure for game deployment is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using Tomcat for server-side applications is desirable.
• A solid understanding of core programming concepts and system architecture is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
