About The Position

Upsetter Studios is seeking an experienced Unreal Engine game developer to contribute to an indie project. The role requires in-person work in Florida, focusing on designing and developing gameplay mechanics, optimizing performance, and enhancing user experience.

Requirements

• Experience with Unreal Engine
• Proficiency in C++ and Blueprints
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5.4 features
• Strong debugging skills
• Ability to create and execute test cases for quality assurance

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ALS Locomotion system
• General knowledge of Unreal features such as Chaos and Niagara

Responsibilities

• Design and develop gameplay mechanics and game features
• Collaborate with Project Manager to understand current build and improve
• Analyze and improve primary Blueprints to optimize performance
• Improve UI/UX elements to enhance gameplay
• Utilize Unreal Engine Chaos/Niagara systems and animation tools
• Incorporate 3D animation and Adobe After Effects for visual effects
• Develop test cases and perform debugging to ensure game functionality
• Ensure parity between Unreal Engine 5.2 and 5.4 builds
