About the position

The Video Game Development Product Manager at Impulse Strategic Solutions is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality video games. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align product strategies with business objectives, ensuring that the products meet player needs and market demands. The position requires a strong background in both product management and video game development, with a focus on maintaining effective communication among stakeholders throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Director of Product and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll-out products.
• Maintain ownership of a game's business case, development, and players' needs to deliver high-quality video games.
• Consume and synthesize large amounts of information to guide strategic decisions about products.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, prototypes, wireframes, and mockups.
• Pitch product vision with internal stakeholders and key external partners through various tactics.
• Develop and foster close relationships with development and publishing teams to ensure alignment throughout the development process.
• Drive excellent inter-team communication to keep all team members organized and unblocked.
• Work closely with development teams to test and validate milestones against forecasted cost, time, and quality.
• Launch products in partnership with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to meet business goals.
• Instill confidence with company leadership regarding project status and health through open communication channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in product management
• 5+ years of experience in video game development
• Ability to understand and develop business cases, budgets, and P&L for video game development and publishing
• Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with all levels of the organization and key external partners
• Organized and focused individual with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to make thoughtful decisions quickly and balance various interests
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Solid development background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in video game development
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Compassionate and possessing high emotional intelligence
• Always learning and looking for ways to improve oneself and the team.
