About the position

The Video News Editor at KVVU, FOX5 in Las Vegas is responsible for editing news stories for various newscasts and digital platforms. This role requires proficiency in non-linear video editing and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The editor will collaborate with the newsroom team to ensure timely and accurate news delivery.

Responsibilities

• Edit news stories for newscasts and various digital platforms.
• Receive and follow instructions on editing ENG material from talent or producers.
• Upload/download video to partner outlets/platforms.
• Communicate with the team in the newsroom.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of prior Editor experience, preferably in a TV Newsroom.
• Knowledge of non-linear video editing.
• Flexible work hours required.

Nice-to-haves

• A college degree is preferred, but not required.
