About the position

WBNG, the CBS affiliate in Binghamton, NY, is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Video News Editor to join its award-winning newsroom. The role involves gathering and editing video content for broadcast and digital platforms, contributing to the station's commitment to high-quality news coverage.

Responsibilities

• Gather video and organize videos for newscasts
• Edit video for broadcast and digital/social platforms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
• Experience working as a video editor in a television news environment is preferred
• A journalism or communications background is a big plus
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while consistently meeting deadlines
• Strong understanding of non-linear editing
