About the position

The Contract Video Producer/Editor will be a key member of the Creative Services Team at Magna, responsible for producing and editing high-quality video content that brings the company's brand to life. This role involves working on diverse video projects across various departments, ensuring that the final products effectively communicate the intended messages and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video content for various projects, including interviews, events, and social media.
• Edit raw footage into polished videos, incorporating graphics, sound, and visual effects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot video equipment and software as needed.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
• Collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders to accurately represent their vision in the final product.
• Upload and organize digital media assets in the company's digital asset management system.
• Assist in managing a production studio space, including shooting and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in video production or completion of specialized trade courses and/or apprenticeship/certification.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in videography and video editing.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder.
• Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and composition.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and project management skills, with attention to detail and organization.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting, and sound design.
• Experience with basic motion graphics and animation.
• Familiarity with project management systems like Asana.
