About the position

The Video Production Manager at Speedway Motorsports is responsible for overseeing all aspects of video production, including producing, editing, shooting, and motion graphic design. This role requires a creative individual who can deliver high-impact video content for various platforms, including social media, network television, and in-venue productions. The manager will work closely with the marketing and creative services team to enhance corporate effectiveness and ensure the production of engaging content that aligns with the company's core principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop fresh and engaging content for social media, network television, YouTube, and in-venue screens.
  • Capture video content during live events and scripted environments.
  • Edit high-quality video for online, in-venue, and broadcast distribution.
  • Produce motion graphics and video graphics to complement content and campaigns.
  • Shoot and produce b-roll packages for media coverage.
  • Write scripts for promotions, social content, and historical videos.
  • Implement and maintain footage inventory for optimal storage and relevance.
  • Support sales efforts with recap videos and video pitches.
  • Collaborate with other creative team members on campaigns and projects.
  • Stay updated on editing and production skills, software, and trends.
  • Export final deliverable files and distribute through various channels.
  • Operate a drone and maintain a drone license for video production needs.
  • Manage internal and freelance personnel for events and shoots.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience as a video producer, editor, and creator in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior camera skills with a creative eye and knowledge of various types of cameras, particularly DSLR.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Well-developed editing workflow and proficiency in color correction and sound design.
  • Strong interest in sports, particularly motorsports, and understanding of pop culture related to video content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with live streaming and online productions.
  • Ability to capture and cleanly key green screen shoots.
  • Creative resourcefulness and a positive can-do approach to work.
