Video Production Specialist/Content Manager

About the position

The Video Production Specialist/Content Manager at High Point University is responsible for creating and editing video content that aligns with the university's communications goals. This role involves collaborating with various departments to produce high-quality videos under tight deadlines, managing video production logistics, and ensuring that all media files are organized and optimized for editing.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit videos according to department and company expectations, including many with quick deadlines.
• Assist in the setup, lighting, breakdown, and gear management on a video production shoot.
• Research and acquire video elements such as university beauty shots, stock footage, graphics, photos, voice-overs, music, and sound.
• Perform intake and organization of various media files to prepare projects for editing, including tagging assets and organizing folder structures.
• Audit existing content for relevance and optimization.
• Transfer video files from Raids to network storage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Video Editing or related field of study.
• 2-3 years' experience shooting and editing content across a variety of platforms including database management.
• Ability to communicate promptly, professionally, and efficiently both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with digital cinema cameras and editing software, preferably Adobe Suite.
• Knowledge of lighting and audio setup.
