About the position
The Video Production Specialist at Ferguson is responsible for creating and delivering impactful multimedia content that aligns with the company's strategy and values. This hybrid role involves managing all aspects of video production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing, ensuring effective communication through multimedia for internal audiences. The specialist will work closely with the Communications team to support live events and maintain high production standards.
Responsibilities
- Produce internal multimedia projects from pre-production to post-production and timely release of final product.
- Responsible for all aspects of the post-production workflow through the Communications Studio.
- Create completed video applying creative editing skills in compliance with appropriate technical standards.
- Create motion graphics and animations.
- Handle studio media management and standard methodologies including SAS management and deployment.
- Ensure positive stakeholder and customer experience through all stages of production.
- Maintain studio and computer equipment.
- Work as an effective production team member and/or independently including solo productions.
- Support Digital Communications Manager with live, external broadcast events.
- Support multimedia enablement resources such as remote and onsite video production guides.
- Facilitate HQ Studio availability and support guest usage.
- Facilitate on-set direction to talent, crew and vendor partners.
- Engage in professional development to continuously grow and remain competent with industry standards.
- Adhere to Ferguson brand standards and compliance policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in video production, including pre and post-production.
- Superior technical skills and mastery of video editing, motion graphics, animation, audio mixing, color correction, and authoring.
- Strong working knowledge of video color space and standard profiles.
- Highly skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Indesign, Illustrator).
- Strong working knowledge of file types and distribution standards.
- Experience with Davinci Resolve.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform duties and adjust under pressure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer editing systems, software, and related equipment.
- Diagnostic skills to resolve technical problems with hardware and software.
- Knowledge of modern cinema cameras, lighting, and audio production techniques.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing, organizing, and cataloging media assets.
- Experience in video studio production and operations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience at a Fortune 500 company or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Sharepoint, Viva Engage) preferred.
