About the position

We are seeking a talented and creative Videographer and Editor to join our team at JL Video. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video, strong technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content for various projects and clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our Director to understand project goals to best serve our clients.
• Travel throughout the US for on-site filming and client opportunities, and be able to do it solo if need be.
• Capture high-quality video footage using our professional equipment.
• Transfer the footage captured to our servers for storage.
• Edit the video content you capture and create engaging and visually appealing video narratives that meet client expectations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a videographer and editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• A demo reel is required for your application to be reviewed.
• Must be able to travel out of state for client shoots as needed.
• Proficiency in video editing software, specifically Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere.
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of video production techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
