About the position

The Videographer and Editor position at JL Video involves capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content for various projects and clients. The role requires a creative individual with strong technical skills and a passion for storytelling through video. The candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring that the video content meets client expectations while adhering to project goals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director to understand project goals to best serve clients.
• Travel throughout the US for on-site filming and client opportunities, potentially working solo.
• Capture high-quality video footage using professional equipment.
• Transfer captured footage to servers for storage.
• Edit video content to create engaging and visually appealing narratives that meet client expectations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a videographer and editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing work.
• Ability to travel out of state for client shoots as needed.
• Proficiency in video editing software, specifically Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere.
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of video production techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
