About the position

This role supports the ongoing efforts of content creation across the enterprise for use in all marketing collateral and digital outputs. This position will involve a balanced mix of videography and video editing responsibilities. The incumbent will demonstrate proficiency and efficiency in both aspects of the production process, ensuring seamless continuity from capturing footage to post-production editing. This balanced workload will require strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives. The incumbent works closely with the Senior Digital Content Manager daily to bring productions from idea through delivery. The Videographer and Video Editor will be responsible for capturing a wide range of content, including events, live-action footage, interviews, and commercial-based content, while demonstrating a keen understanding of storytelling and visual aesthetics with a heavy lean into an overall cinematic look and feel. The role requires the utilization of expertise in video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to adapt quickly to different environments and ensure high-quality production standards. The incumbent will apply visual design principles to video and motion graphics projects, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and creative objectives. In addition to technical skills, the role demands great communication skills, as the incumbent will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting quality objectives, deadlines, and budgets. Strong storytelling ability and a keen eye for capturing engaging visuals are essential. The position also requires a willingness to travel by both air and ground, with the potential for frequent travel multiple times per month within the US and also outside the US. Typical/expected % of overnight travel is around 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Capture a wide range of content, including events, live-action footage, interviews, and commercial-based content.
  • Utilize expertise in video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to adapt quickly to different environments and ensure high-quality production standards.
  • Apply visual design principles to video and motion graphics projects, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and creative objectives.
  • Strive to capture content with a creative, cinematic, and engaging approach.
  • Demonstrate and maintain the highest levels of artistic consistency, accuracy, and relevant technical skills.
  • Work independently without creative support when necessary, demonstrating appropriate brand fluency.
  • Consistently meet strategic objectives, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Travel with Senior Content Manager or solo to capture content.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Content Manager on photo and video shoots, providing support as needed.
  • Assist the video team on media management tasks, including offloading footage, tagging, renaming, and organizing.
  • Partner with copywriters and other team members to conceptualize and execute creative ideas effectively.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in videography and video editing, with a diverse portfolio showcasing a range of content creation capabilities.
  • Strong storytelling ability and a keen eye for capturing engaging visuals.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles as they relate to video and motion graphics.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Excellent knowledge of MAC OS and other supporting software to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Preferred fluency with Sony and Canon camera systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting quality objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and collaborate effectively with team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with photography cameras and lighting equipment.
  • Preferred air travel experience is a plus, along with the ability to navigate different locations, hotels, convention centers, and environments.
