About the position

Kohler Co., a global family of brands that values design, health, and sustainability, is seeking a Videographer / Content Creator to join its in-house creative agency. This role is pivotal in creating compelling video content, particularly for social platforms and long-form online content. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in various styles of videography, motion graphics, and editing to engage and expand Kohler's audience. Working closely with the creative and studio production team, the Videographer will be involved in the entire process from concept through execution, delivering world-class content for web, social media, and internal audiences. The position requires strong creative and technical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to ensure that Kohler Communications continues to evolve as a creative powerhouse. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as art directors, copywriters, and producers to create exceptional motion-based content for integrated marketing campaigns.
• Handle many aspects of video production, including camera operation, lighting, sound, motion graphics, and editing.
• Ensure video executions are visually appealing, effectively convey key messages, and are optimized for each social media platform's specifications and requirements.
• Think creatively in ways to repurpose content across many platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in video production and across media channels to drive innovation and enhance content quality.
• Use insights and metrics to inform video execution and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film / Video production is preferred.
• Prior experience with professional content creation.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and bring in fresh ideas.
• Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts.
• Self-starter with proven skills in organization, work planning, attention to detail, follow-through, and follow-up.
• Proven experience as a videographer/content creator, with a portfolio demonstrating a wide range of projects, focusing on short-form content for social media.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects.
• Strong storytelling abilities and the ability to translate marketing messages into visually compelling video content.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to learn and experiment with new techniques and technologies.
• Solid understanding of social media platforms and their specific video requirements.
• Interest and/or experience in Generative AI technology for content creation, including ChatGPT, 11Labs, D-ID, and similar tools.
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft tools.
• Fundamental motion design and animation skills, extended experience a plus.
• Experience working with a multitude of camera formats from iPhone to DSLR's to advanced professional production cameras.
• Analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions for creative improvement.
