About the position

WTOC is seeking a self-motivated and creative Videographer/Editor to join their team in Savannah, GA. This role involves gathering video and sound for news stories, editing content for various platforms, and contributing to the editorial process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Gathering video and sound for stories
• Shooting daily live shots
• Editing stories for television and web
• Contributing to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and presentation

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in journalism, TV production, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
• Non-linear editing experience preferred but not required
• Proven ability to post content on social media platforms
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Flexible schedule with on-call assignments
• MVR check in pre-employment
