About the position

The Videographer/Editor position at our NYC-based creative agency startup involves capturing and editing high-quality footage for various projects, including branded videos, documentaries, and short films. The role requires collaboration with the creative director to develop video concepts and ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative director to develop video concepts, storyboards, and pitch-decks
• Capture high-quality footage using DSLR and Digital Cinema Camera equipment
• Operate camera stabilizers and gimbals, with basic knowledge of audio and lighting gear for interviews
• Maintain a strong and proven editing workflow, including importing and labeling footage and setting up editing folder hierarchy
• Create compelling and engaging videos for the company's social media and interact with social media comments
• Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and meet project objectives
• Create project timelines, shooting schedules, and shot lists
• Organize, maintain, and label film and video equipment inventory

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Videographer/Editor or similar role
• Solid understanding of photography principles and composition
• Proficient in film/video production techniques and equipment operation
• Strong knowledge of video editing software such as Davinci, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator
• Ability to work independently and document daily work
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and time management abilities
