About the position

We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Producer/Editor to join our team, focusing on producing engaging content for a YouTube channel dedicated to psychology, mental health, and addiction. The role involves both video production and editing, requiring a passion for storytelling and the ability to create high-quality videos that resonate with a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Record videos with professional audio and video equipment.
• Set up and manage lighting, sound, and camera equipment for studio or on-location shoots.
• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos, adding graphics, music, captions, and other post-production elements.
• Ensure videos align with the channel's tone, message, and audience preferences.
• Create thumbnail designs and optimize content for YouTube.
• Collaborate to develop creative ideas and formats for videos based on channel goals and trends in the psychology and mental health niche.
• Stay updated on YouTube best practices, algorithm changes, and emerging trends.
• Manage and organize video files and assets.
• Meet deadlines for content delivery and ensure timely uploads.

Requirements

• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Experience with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Strong understanding of YouTube content creation and optimization strategies.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves
