Metropolitan Industries is seeking a talented Videographer/Editor to join our Graphics and Marketing Department. This full-time position is based in Romeoville, IL, and offers a competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 per year. The Videographer will play a crucial role in capturing, editing, and producing high-quality photos and videos for both internal and external purposes. This position requires a creative individual who can handle a variety of project types while staying informed about industry norms and trends to produce effective and persuasive visual content. In this role, the Videographer will assist in writing scripts and developing shot lists and storyboards. They will be responsible for capturing video for marketing promotions, training materials, and operational procedures. The ability to shoot spontaneous b-roll footage of events, construction sites, and warehouse activities is essential. The Videographer will also assist in the post-production process, which includes importing media, organizing raw footage, editing video and sound files, performing color correction and grading, creating and inserting graphics, titling videos, and adding music or voice-overs. Additionally, they will manage and archive project media and organize company media equipment such as cameras, microphones, tripods, and lights. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay up-to-date on the latest video technology and trends. They will also assist with other department-related tasks as needed to support the team. This position requires a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in media production or a related field, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects is required, along with a solid understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with various audiovisual equipment and green screen production is also necessary. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication abilities.
