About the position

WPLG, the ABC affiliate in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, is looking for a flexible and multi-talented Videographer/Editor to join their creative team. The role involves shooting and editing video content, requiring both creative and technical skills to effectively tell stories through audio and video. The ideal candidate will have experience in television production and be proficient in various editing software and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Shoot video for long and short format programming.
• Edit video content using Adobe Creative Suite and Premiere Pro.
• Manage lighting and shot blocking for video shoots.
• Collaborate with Sales, News, and Digital Departments to create compelling content.
• Utilize technical skills to enhance video production quality.

Requirements

• Applicable college degree preferred.
• 2-3 years' experience in television production.
• Strong technical and organizational skills.
• High-level experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in compositing and editing programs.
• 1-2 years of experience with Premiere Pro or non-linear editing.
• Proficient with Sony cameras, audio, and lighting equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills.
• Extensive knowledge of television production techniques, shooting, and computer graphics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Avid editing, Photoshop, and Aftereffects.
• Familiarity with various video production plug-ins.
