About the position

The Videographer/Editor position at WOWT involves shooting and editing video content for both on-air and digital platforms. The role requires a blend of creativity and technical skills to produce compelling news stories under tight deadlines, while also collaborating effectively with reporters and producers.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit video for on-air and digital platforms.
• Report and create compelling news packages under strict deadlines.
• Collaborate with reporters, anchors, and producers to coordinate news stories.
• Operate microwave live truck and/or TVU for live broadcasts.
• Assist in setting up and tearing down equipment during shoots.
• Transport equipment to various on-location shoots.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Solid people skills for effective teamwork.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art television news equipment.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Broadcast news experience or related field experience.
• Prior experience as a broadcast news photographer or MMJ.
• Strong computer and graphics skills.
