About the position

The Videographer for dance recitals is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage of dance performances in the Chicago area. This role requires expertise in handling video equipment and a specific focus on dance events, ensuring that the recordings meet professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Videotape dance recitals in various locations around Chicago.
• Ensure smooth zooming and panning during recordings.
• Adjust the iris on the fly for optimal lighting conditions.
• Capture audio using a professional on-camera microphone and obtain a feed from the sound board.
• Deliver video in the required formats: 1080P 60 AVCHD or 1080P 60 50Mbps MP4.

Requirements

• Experience with videotaping dance recitals is necessary.
• Must have a camcorder capable of rear auditorium filming with zoom and pan capabilities.
• Ability to adjust the iris during recording.
• Must possess a professional on-camera microphone.

Benefits

• Minimum compensation of $350 per recital.
