About the position

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Videographer who can lead the filming process from start to finish. This role is crucial in bringing our creative visions to life through high-quality video content. You will be responsible for shooting videos, ensuring the footage aligns with the project's creative direction, and, in some cases, overseeing the post-production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production and a passion for storytelling through visual media. You will work closely with the creative team to understand the vision for each project and translate that into compelling video content. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to various filming environments, particularly in the San Diego/Los Angeles area where on-set presence is required. In this role, you will plan and execute the filming of video content, including commercials, social media ads, and branded content. You will operate cameras and other filming equipment, ensuring all shots are of the highest quality. Collaboration with the creative team is essential, as you will provide direction on set, ensuring the filming process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will also offer input on the overall composition and style of the video, with an eye for how the final product will come together. While some photography work may be required, video is the primary focus. In some cases, you may edit the footage or work closely with an editor to ensure the final product meets the creative brief.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DP, Camera Operator, Videographer or in a similar role, with a portfolio of your work.
• Strong technical skills with cameras and other video production equipment. (Audio a plus!)
• Excellent understanding of lighting, composition, and how to capture high-quality footage.
• Ability to lead the filming process from planning through to execution, ensuring the final product aligns with the creative vision.
• Experience with video editing is a plus, but not required.
