About the position

The Videographer & Motion Graphic Designer at Smithbucklin will be responsible for creating high-impact video media projects that align with the visual communication strategy of nonprofit clients. This role involves collaboration with various teams to develop video content from concept to final deliverable, utilizing in-house studio equipment and managing video production needs. The position offers growth opportunities within the company, particularly as the demand for video media continues to increase.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with creative and marketing staff to support video media needs.
  • Develop and hone ideas and briefs with stakeholders to identify the best format for communication.
  • Create 2D motion graphic animations and infographics for client events.
  • Edit custom video content, including color grading and graphics, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Utilize in-house studio and equipment to produce engaging video media for various platforms.
  • Travel to client events to capture b-roll and client testimonials (1-2 times per year).
  • Manage the upkeep of all Smithbucklin owned video equipment.
  • Support the Creative Services team with additional graphic design and editing projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Video Production, or related visual arts majors or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in video production and editing.
  • Strong working proficiency in video production and post-production editing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graphic design experience is highly preferred.
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Working proficiency in Apple Final Cut Pro is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
