About the position

The Videographer/Photographer will be responsible for capturing the dynamic energy and excitement of bowling events for the Underground Bowling Association (UBA). This role focuses on creating engaging video and photographic content that highlights bowler interactions, celebrations, and the overall atmosphere of the event. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality deliverables that resonate with a younger audience, utilizing modern music and effective lighting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Capture the energy and excitement of bowlers, focusing on interactions, celebrations, and lively exchanges.
• Highlight teams and bowlers during competitions, ensuring to capture intense moments.
• Engage with bowlers and attendees to encourage authentic reactions in both video and photos.
• Ensure high-quality images and videos by using proper lighting and appropriate lenses in a bowling alley setting.
• Deliver final edited videos and photos within one week of the event, including specific reel lengths and highlight videos.
• Incorporate modern, trendy hip-hop music into videos and reels, avoiding older music styles.
• Provide a reasonable number of edits to photography and video work until UBA is satisfied with the final product.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in videography and photography, particularly in event settings.
• Proficiency in using lighting equipment and lenses suitable for low-light environments.
• Ability to engage with participants to capture authentic moments and reactions.
• Experience in editing videos and photos to meet high-quality standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with modern music trends, particularly in hip-hop, to appeal to a younger demographic.
• Experience in sports or entertainment event photography/videography.

Benefits

• $500 compensation for the project.
• 50% deposit required to secure the date, with the remaining 50% paid upon delivery of final products.
