About the position

A Plus Garage Doors is seeking a dedicated and creative Videographer/Photographer to join their dynamic team in South Salt Lake, UT. This full-time position involves collaborating closely with the marketing team to shape the company's promotional initiatives and corporate brand identity. The ideal candidate will possess a great attitude, be organized, professional, and creative, contributing to the company's Team First Culture.

Responsibilities

• Filming video and photo on set and on location, including some out-of-state travel.
• Working with creative teams and dispatch to plan video shoots.
• Setting up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props, and other equipment.
• Editing footage after recording, adding music, sound effects, and transitions for final use.
• Producing and directing video and photo shoots.
• Building and maintaining a video and still image library for multiple uses.
• Preparing background film, also called 'B' roll.
• Creating a hook or narrative when using short form videos.
• Creating cinematic style long form videos.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in video production or photography.
• Bachelor's Degree in Video Production, Photography, Fine Art, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Multitasking skills for working with many crew members at once.
• Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail.
• Knowledge of post-production techniques.
• Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods.
• Understanding of computer software used for planning, editing, and scripting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with social media management.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
