About the position

The Videographer at TWD & Associates, Inc. plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality video services that include video operations, preventive maintenance, video capture, and the use of archiving systems. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining broadcast-quality audio and video documentation and recording systems in a unique environment. The Videographer will set up, operate, and maintain various broadcast, production, and AV equipment, ensuring that all technical aspects of video production are executed flawlessly. In this role, the Videographer will utilize professional video cameras in both mobile and fixed scenarios, planning camera movements before shooting begins. During live events, the ability to make quick adjustments and follow the instructions of master control is essential. The Videographer will also be responsible for multi-camera live event switching, ensuring that all angles and perspectives are captured effectively. After recordings, the Videographer will execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for preparing recorded material for archiving, ensuring that all content is preserved for future use. Customer service is a key component of this role, as the Videographer will work closely with various stakeholders, including VIPs and other team members, to document important events for the National Archives. The position requires a high level of professionalism, patience, and flexibility, as well as the ability to maintain quality customer service throughout the production process. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making adaptability an important trait for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain broadcast-quality audio and video documentation and recording systems.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain broadcast, production, and AV equipment.
  • Use professional video cameras in mobile and fixed scenarios.
  • Plan camera movements before shooting begins and make adjustments during live events.
  • Responsible for set up, camera operation, and multi-camera live event switching.
  • Execute SOPs for preparing recorded material for archiving after recordings.
  • Monitor equipment for performance and upgrades, report problems, and process equipment for repair.
  • Work closely with others and maintain a high level of quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; College Degree preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize audio, visual, and power related mathematics.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of audio-visual equipment and concepts.
  • Proficiency with common office productivity applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Professional demeanor, patience, flexibility, and strong customer-service skills.
  • Effective communication skills with both employees and managers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with live event production and post-production processes.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $45,000 - $95,000.
  • Clearance sponsorship for candidates without an active TS/SCI clearance.
