About the position

The Videographer position at Learning Network involves capturing compelling visual content and storytelling through videography. The role requires a creative individual with technical proficiency in video production, editing, and equipment management. The successful candidate will collaborate with a marketing/communications team to produce high-quality videos that align with the company's brand and objectives, while also managing multiple projects and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to develop compelling narratives and storyboards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide creative solutions.
  • Bring fresh ideas and innovative concepts to brainstorming sessions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • Work closely with teammates to ensure seamless integration of video content across various platforms.
  • Utilize expertise in videography to film and capture various events, interviews, and stories.
  • Ensure exceptional video quality, framing, lighting, and composition.
  • Draft proposals for special video projects and present them to leadership.
  • Travel to various locations to film content tailored for different audiences.
  • Employ editing skills to transform raw footage into polished videos.
  • Maintain and operate videography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio devices.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technological advancements in videography equipment.
  • Assist staff and stakeholders in sharing their stories in their own voice.
  • Perform thorough quality checks to ensure videos are error-free and visually appealing.
  • Archive and maintain story media in a searchable story bank.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, media arts, or a comparable field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in motion design and videography.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience editing video assets, preferably with Adobe Premiere.
  • Proficiency in operating professional video equipment and familiarity with industry-standard editing software.
  • Strong artistic vision and storytelling ability with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and adaptable, capable of troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Mac and Google Suite preferred.
  • Ability to travel as required.
