About the position

Factory Athletics is looking for motivated and talented freelance videographers to capture high-quality video footage of baseball events in their local market. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to gain experience and expand their portfolio, as it involves a one-day event. The markets for this position include Northern California, the NY metro area, New England, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. As a videographer, you will be responsible for capturing raw video footage of baseball events, focusing on offense, defense, and pitching evaluations and highlights. It is essential to ensure consistent quality in video production, paying close attention to detail in framing, lighting, and camera work. After the event, you will be required to upload the footage digitally via file sharing in a timely manner. This role not only allows you to showcase your skills but also provides an opportunity to build a professional portfolio with high-quality footage from live sports events.

Responsibilities

• Capture raw video footage of baseball events, focusing on offense, defense, and pitching evaluations/highlights.
• Ensure consistent quality in video production, with attention to detail in framing, lighting, and camera work.
• Upload event footage digitally via file sharing in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Experience in videography, particularly in sports or live events (preferred but not required).
• Access to your own video equipment (camera, tripod, microphone, etc.).
• Camera must have either a digital zoom or a 200mm lens or greater to follow throws for certain positions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for storytelling through video.
• Must be available for one day in October/November 2024 (specific date to be provided based on location).
