About the position

The Videographer at Central Ohio Technical College is responsible for producing high-quality video and photography content to support the institution's recruitment, retention, and public relations strategies. This role involves creating an annual video strategy, from concept to completion, and includes responsibilities such as storyboarding, shooting, editing, and photography for campus events.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality video and photography content for recruitment and public relations.
• Develop an annual video strategy in consultation with the marketing & public relations director.
• Seek out video opportunities to enhance the institution's brand and message.
• Storyboard, shoot, and art direct video projects.
• Edit video content, including animation and post-production work.
• Capture candid and portrait photography for campus events and departments.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in photography, video-oriented digital media design, or related field.
• Three years of relevant video production/editing experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with cataloging digital media assets, including Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with various video formats, media conversion, and audio.
• Knowledge of production equipment for on-location and studio production.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in videography, photography, or marketing in a higher education setting.
• Familiarity with Motion, After Effects, and Creative Suite.
