About the position

The Port of San Diego is seeking a Videographer to join the Marketing & Communications team. This role involves creating branded videos to support marketing initiatives, including promotional videos, social media content, and event recaps. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative vision and technical skills in video production, including pre-production, production, and post-production processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the in-house creative team with the creation of branded videos.
• Produce promotional videos and television ads.
• Create social media shorts and event recaps.
• Operate cameras, audio, and lighting equipment for video production.
• Edit videos using Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
• Coordinate with external video production agencies on larger projects.
• Develop quality creative content for various digital and print platforms.
• Maintain video, photography, and slide libraries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, graphic design, or related field.
• Five years of increasingly responsible experience in public relations or multi-media production.
• Strong video portfolio or showreel showcasing video production skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere and After Effects.
• Knowledge of audio/video mechanics and low voltage electrical systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in social media management.
• Knowledge of website content development.
• Graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Photography and photo editing experience.
