About the position

ATA Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Videographer for a temporary assignment in Santa Fe, NM. The role involves creating high-quality video and audio content that supports public health initiatives and engages stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual storytelling, content creation, and collaboration with various teams to deliver compelling narratives that align with agency goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling video and audio content that connects NMDOH with stakeholders.
  • Conceptualize, script, shoot, edit, and deliver engaging content.
  • Make creative recommendations to enhance multimedia contributions.
  • Independently shape video storylines and pitch project ideas.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to produce video stories.
  • Lead video production and manage projects, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Develop and manage a calendar for digital asset content creation.
  • Create pre-production shot lists and recruit diverse talent for projects.
  • Handle all aspects of production including securing permits and operating equipment.
  • Produce and record radio scripts, voiceovers, PSAs, and podcasts as needed.
  • Edit video efficiently and ensure accessibility compliance.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to set objectives and increase engagement.
  • Participate in creative reviews to ensure brand consistency.
  • Manage the NMDOH YouTube channel and track analytics for projects.
  • Create and maintain a digital repository for media assets.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and suggest innovative practices.
  • Film meetings and events, creating videos for presentations and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional visual storytelling and video content creation experience.
  • Must have own equipment and editing software.
  • Ability to travel within New Mexico and operate a state government vehicle.
  • Physical ability to walk on uneven ground and lift equipment as needed.
  • Expert proficiency in lighting, shooting, editing, and narrative storytelling.
  • Awareness of legal guidelines and agency protocols regarding video and image licensing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with public health messaging and equity initiatives.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in video production.
